A 60-year-old widow, Madam Adiaha Thompson Atin from Ede Obok village in Eket LGA recently joined the league of house owners courtesy of FEYReP’s Shelter Support Progamme.

The house built by the Frank Archibong led administration in honour of the governor’s wife pet-project was commissioned by the founder of FEYReP, Her Excellency, Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel.

Mrs. Emmanuel in her remarks thanked the Chairman of Eket, Hon. Frank Archibong for keying into the vision of her pet-project, saying she is overwhelmed by the support and encouragement.

She as well charged other good spirited individuals to partner with FEYReP to lend helping hands to those in need within their vicinity.

Similarly, Mrs. Emmanuel also commissioned a staff canteen, and mass transit system put in place by the Frank Archiobong led administration to ease movement within the city of Eket.

She saluted the ingenuity of the Chairman in handling the affairs of the local government, stating that he is delivering quality services to his people.

Mrs. Emmanuel was also a guest at the maiden Eket Women's Day where she encouraged women to continue to speak with one voice.

She spoke on the need for women to be empowered to be self-reliant, stating that women are the fulcrum of family values.

The first lady thanked the stakeholders of Eket for standing by the women, and solicited for more support in ensuring that women are given more offices in governance.
