Social Welfare

Because we care about human dignity at FEYReP, we advocate for an all inclusive society where all persons are seen, treated and regarded equally without discrimination to gender, age, physical abilities/ disabilities, beliefs, etc. We have fashioned programs and causes to cater for the elderly in our LIVE, LEARN and WORK project, we also advocate for the integration and inclusion of persons with disabilities.

Live, Learn and Work, A Project for the Elderly

FEYReP in demonstration of its uncommon commitments to solving social issues using innovative approaches, inaugurated the LIVE, LEARN AND WORK, project to improve the well-being of the aged population in Akwa Ibom State by encouraging community work participation and improved commitments to family dispute resolution. Understanding the key role which the elderly play in the society as leaders, caretakers and custodians of customs, traditions and social values, while at the same time being highly vulnerable, with many falling into poverty, becoming disabled or facing discrimination.

The Right to Rise; A Project for The Physically Challenged to Reduce Inequality

FEYReP advocates for the integration and inclusion of persons living with disabilities in every aspect of our political, social, economic and cultural life. In Akwa Ibom, FEYReP has made great efforts in ensuring persons living with disability embrace the acquisition of skills that would make them economically self reliant, after which they are provided with trade-specific equipment, grants and aids.

Shelter of Hope: Shelter for the Poor

The SHELTER OF HOPE project by FEYReP is directly aimed at providing decent houses for indigent families, most who are widows with vulnerable children and are without safe and habitable shelter. The beneficiaries of this project are given brand new and modestly furnished two/three bedroom houses with business grants to improve their economic lives.

Empowering Multiple Birth Families

Families with multiple births often face a drop in income and heightened financial stress compared to those with singletons. As a result, many families blessed with multiple children struggle to care for them, and this increases the economic pressures on such families. FEYReP’s initiative on Empowering Multiple Births Families is designed with a view to help alleviate and ease such pressures for these families. So far, over 1,000 Akwa Ibom have been reached and empowered through this initiative.
