The provision of health infrastructure and healthcare services is one of FEYReP’s core objectives in accordance with UN Sustainable Development Goals 5, which is a commitment to eradicating preventable diseases in communities with less access to affordable healthcare. FEYReP understands that the provision of healthcare services is an essential part of economic prosperity for the people of the State. It is on the heels of this, that, apart from heart warming health interventions primarily targeted at women, children, elderly, widows/widowers, the less privileged and people living with disabilities, FEYReP took a step further in building an ultra-modern health care center at Aya Obio Akpa in Oruk Anam LGA in Akwa Ibom State.
The founder of FEYReP Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel during an interview with newsmen shortly after the commissioning of the project maintained that the provision of healthcare services to the indigent of the society is like a religion to her. She further stated that the availability of the health facility in the area will provide the people of the community with access to affordable healthcare for women, children and men.
