Women play very important roles in our economy. Over 60% of the food produced in Akwa Ibom state is done by women either by farming or food processing.

Our state is rich in cassava, rice, seafood, oil palm etc. However the tedious and time consuming procedures involved in food processing greatly hampers economic development of rural farmers and leads to post harvest loses.

FEYREP has therefore built two fish kilns, 2 cassava processing factories and palm oil processing factories as its modest contributions towards eliminating post harvest loses and improve economic fortunes of the women farmers.
