FEYReP At 9, Focus On The Boy Child!

In celebration of its 9th anniversary, the Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Path Initiative (FEYReP) continues to broaden its impact, focusing on crucial societal challenges—particularly the development and empowerment of the boy child.

This year’s anniversary celebration, tagged “Bright Future For Responsible Boys” and aptly themed “The Boy Child: Be the Architect of Your Future”, was an inspiring call to action for young boys, equipping them with the tools, guidance, and opportunities necessary to build a successful and responsible future.

Opening the event, the founder of FEYReP Her Excellency, Dr. (Mrs) Martha Udom Emmanuel, who delivered a powerful message to the hundreds of young boys in attendance, urged them to recognize the power they hold over their own destinies, emphasizing that their success and the brightness of their future are firmly in their hands. Dr. Martha implored the boys to stay away from the dangers of alcohol, drugs, and other social vices, encouraging them instead to focus on realizing their dreams of becoming outstanding men and leaders.

In a keynote address, delivered by Dr. Mandu Umoren, alongside contributions from other distinguished speakers, explored the pivotal role of the boy child in society. They highlighted the expectations that families and communities hold for young boys, urging them to maximize their time, seize opportunities, and understand that their future depends on the decisions and actions they take today.

In their testimonies, beneficiaries of FEYReP expressed their deep gratitude to H.E.Dr. Martha Udom Emmanuel for her immense contributions to their personal growth, particularly through the provision of education and skills training. They encouraged their peers in the audience to remain focused on their studies, reminding them that they are the architects of their futures.

Also some “street boys” popularly known as “plaza boys” who had been selected to benefit from FEYReP’s programs— said the initiative will transformed their lives. They expressed heartfelt appreciation to the founder of FEYReP for believing in them and vowed to live upto expectations

The event also featured a thought-provoking panel discussion, distribution of books titled *”What Cultists Won’t Tell You About Cultism”*, to Plaza boys and Students as well as cultural displays.
