In continuation of its drive to raise successful families and building responsible youths, the Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Path-Initiative (FEYReP) carried out its vocations training for its cohort three candidates, drawn from all Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State. The Training lasted 5 days with the trainees being trained on vocations such as custard production, cake baking, Vaseline jelly production, pastries, soap and pomade production bleach and disinfectants production, catering (with focus on pineapple fried rice and scones.
The training began on July 8 and ran through to July 12 and took place at the Akwa Ibom State Gender Based Violence (AKS GBV) Skill Acquisition Centre, Atan Offot Uyo.

Day One of the event witnessed the arrivals and registration of the trainees, followed by a an address by the Coordinator of FEYReP who charged the trainees to make good use of the opportunity to learn a life skill which will be a good source of revenue in an economy as we find ourselves.
Also speaking at the event, the Secretary Akwa Ibom State Gender Based Violence (AKS GBV) Committee, Barr. Emem Ette encouraged the trainees to not only learn the vocational skill, but to strive at becoming the best in their chosen vocations, stating the need for dedication, commitment, proper work ethic and attitude and an added desire for self-development using the FEYReP training only as a starting point to greater things.






The training was carried out intensively and the trainees spent their days thus:
Day 1. Registration, Orientation and Custard Production Training.
Day 2. Cake Baking and Vaseline Jelly Production.
Day 3. Pastry Class and Soap and Pomade Production.
Day 4. Pineapple Fried Rice, Scones, Disinfectants and Liquid Soap Production.
Day 5. Presentation of Products by trainees.
