Despite the global outrage against gender based violence and its attendant physical, emotional and psychological consequences on the suvivors, their families and the larger community, Gender-based violence is still endemic in Nigeria and other parts of the world.

The consequences of GBV is far reaching especially sexual harassment, physical violence and harmful traditional practices. Sometimes these can have a life long psychological trauma on the survivors.

FEYREP's campaign against all forms of gender based violence is a strong and coordinated failsafe strategy involving spirited advocacies in schools, partnership with Community leaderships, religious organizations, governments, non government organizations and international organizations.

Thus, the FEYREP-UNFPA prevention and Response Centre is targeted at ending all forms of violence against women and girls and bringing violators of this human rights abuse to justice.
