FEYReP Trains, Empowers Indegents on Vocations and Skills.

The Family Empowerment and Youth Reorientation Path-Initiative (FEYReP) embarked on a 5 days training for one Hundred (100) persons (drawn from the 31 Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State) in line with its main objective of raising successful families and building responsible youth. The training program which began on Monday, 8th April 2024 ran through till Friday, 12th April, 2024, covering vocations and skill such as; Pastries Making, Soap/Disinfectants Production and Hair Cutting (barbing).

On the opening day of the event, the beneficiaries were informed and reminded once again of the vision and mission statements of FEYReP and the very strong belief of Her Excellency, Mrs. Martha Emmanuel Ph.D., who is the founder of FEYReP in to raise successful families and and build responsible members of the general society at large, as they were made to know that the purpose of the training was to equip them with skills which would help them earn a decent living while contributing their little quota to the economic growth of the nation.

Products made by the trainees were put on display at the end of the five days training event, where the trainees displayed their dexterity and adeptness in learning by putting on a show with eye-catching results which included but were not limited to beautiful cakes, crispy chin-chin, buns, home-made soaps, hand washes, dishwashers,  detergents and disinfectants.

To show appreciation a trainee at the event led the vote of thanks to FEYReP and its Founder, appreciating the kind gesture extended to them while promising to put the skill learnt to good use.

The coordinator of FEYReP, Dr Idorenyin Ekanem expressed gratitude for the level of commitment shown in the course of the training, and appealed the beneficiaries put the skill learnt to good use as the event drew to a close.

This very exercise brings the number of such training carried out by FEYReP to twelve (12) in the past Nine (9) years of its existence and drew trainees both female and male ranging in ages between 20 to 50.
